Who is eligible for a free The New York Times subscription?

United States high school students, their teachers, and their administrators are eligible.

Who is NOT eligible?

• Students under the age of 13
• Students and adults who are part of homeschool programs
• Students at schools in which administrators have not granted consent in states that require it
• Those in schools outside of the U.S.

How to sign up

Teachers and administrators of high schools in the United States can start the process by registering HERE. Invite emails will then be sent to students to access their free New York Times subscription.

What is included in the free New York Times subscription?

The subscription includes all articles, videos, photos, etc. online and in the app. It also includes lessons from The Learning Network featuring articles, photos, webinars, podcasts, and more.
